How I took up Boccia
I first took up Boccia when I started Treloar School at thirteen. I wasn’t very good as I had to use my hand to throw the ball into a ramp with a top like a shovel. My PE teacher, Sandra King then saw someone using a helmet and head-stick and thought of me. From then on I progressed, winning my first title in 1999
What I enjoy about Boccia
I enjoy everything about Boccia but most of all I love winning medals
Proudest moment in Boccia
Winning the title of British Champion but most of all being selected as part of the squad going forward for selection of the Great Britain London 2012 Boccia Squad
Ambitions in Boccia
To be selected to represent Great Britain in the London 2012 Paralympic Games and to medal for all my supporters, family and myself
Role models in Boccia
Keon Woo Park from Korea because he is an excellent player and double Paralympic champion
Currently doing outside of Boccia
I’m currently studying for an MSc in Access and Law at The University of Portsmouth
Interests outside of Boccia
I am a huge All Black fan and I often see them at Twickenham cheering them on. Also I enjoy going shopping with friends, going to concerts and living life to the full
